(G500) After 2 weeks Logitech RMA Aproved! (Small Rant)

My G500 has been messed up for about a month now, at first it would be fine for 2-3 days then not work right, The left click (and now right click) you have to push really hard to get to recognize your pushing the button, and sometimes it would double click on a physical single click. I sent a ticket to Logitech on the 13th.... they responded asking for numbers on the 20th, it was today the 25th that i finally got it approved a new mouse is coming via UPS.

So note to anyone whom is dealing with a faulty Logitech product, start asking as soon as possible for replacement, you will wait at least 2 weeks before they send one.

I can honestly say thats not too bad, excluding the initial response time. I've been dealing with alot worse (Cyborg, its been almost 2 weeks, no response) and InWin (My case came with a giant dent in the left panel along with a huge scratch across the front), it took them nearly a week to respond, and another to send out a replacement case... thats 1 week AFTER they receive the old one.

I went through the RMA proccess about 2 months ago when the thumb buttons on my g500 died. I was upset with the new one at first because the coating is darker and the buttons didnt register as easily at first, so I assumed it was a refurb. It was not a refurb, it seems like they just make them a little differently then they did at release(less quality IMO). After about a month of using the new one it is dead too now, left click wont work. but the warrenty on the original one was 3 years and they RMA'ed it at 2 years 7 months and I had this one for 2 more months so I say my $$$ almost lived its lifetime and plan on picking up a g700s ASAP.

the one without wear was the old one ._. dark one was unused

I bought a GS9 mouse from Logitech. It has a 3 year warranty. It fell off the arm of my chair and the left button quit working. Turns out the warranty didn't cover that. They did give me a 50% off coupon from their website. I liked the mouse, was very upset over the support. I have dealt with Microsoft in regards to Microsoft mice and all I had to do was give them the serial number and they sent a replacement. Anyway, I bout another GS9 because I liked the mouse. Within 6 months the cord became fraid. I accepted that but in a couple of weeks the left mouse button worked intermittently. I am an unhappy Logitech Mouse user.

I went through 3 G700s all with the same issue (intermitly tracking will stop sending for a split second). I'm pretty much never buying another logitech product again. They even offered to send me another G700 (4th one) told them to shove it. Once my G500 dies I'm going with a different brand.

I noticed from a lan party i was at a few weeks ago, 2 other people had G500's and theirs all looked the same as mine, The ends of the buttons where you don't touch are darker, and the very top part is lighter colored, i don't remember it looking like that new.

I didn't have to wait 2 weeks to get one, and I just had my mouse RMA'd (replaced really) a few months ago.
They responded to my emails within the next business day each time, and processed everything fast. Sounds like you just got unlucky I guess?

I hope so, but it was 2 different reps so it wasn't just 1 guy who isn't doing his job slowly. I hope it goes well from here out, I used to be hardcore logitech, I own logitech speakers, G500, G35 headset, G15 keyboard, like $600 worth of stuff from them.

Had a G9 a while back. Took 2 photos and 2 weeks i had a G9x. G9 has issues with the cable, clicking and peeling coating.

On the other hand for Razer i had to give my mouse. Then had to wait 2 months before I was denied warranty coverage, since they beleive the wheel started randomly scrolling up a notch because of abuse.

So there ya go.
