Internet hook up for xbox 360 - Page 2

I run my original Xbox in my room through my computer. Just use some Ethernet crossover cable from the PC to the Xbox, not regular Ethernet cable. It's really easy.

Never used them, so don't know how fast they work and stuff.
Only 10Mbps... That is slower than, well, I don't know what. All I know is I have recently gone to a 54Mbps wireless from a 90Mbps wired connection. Although the maximum is 54Mbps I am seeing around 24Mbps because of signal strength (realize 54Mbps is only theoretical). It is soooo slow.

Yea, saw the speed after I posted it.

Need something that can do what this print server does. I have one, and am using it right now. It connects to your wireless router, wireless of course, and can hook upto 4 wired devices to it. It can sometimes seem alittle slow though.

But like said, best bet would try to get it to work throught your computer, or run a cable, even though that is a pain to do.

This is a short summary of what I did. I found this just a second ago because I couldn't remember exactly how I did it with my crossover cable, but this reminded me. I got it from here.

What to do:
1. Install Windows Xp pro and Service Pack 2 with all other updates.
2. Install Ethernet card (if necessary)
3. Install router (if necessary)
4. Plug in crossover cable to ethernet card and to Xbox.

I'd go with the 360 adapter from Microsoft. It may be a little pricey, but, the ease of setup that comes with it is so worth it.
