FX-6300 or FX-8320

Thread Starter
Well I just sold my 1045T which I had overclocked to 3.5ghz but I want something that could go passed 4ghz and felt the phenom is getting outdated . Anyways I'm stuck between both these CPUS. Microcenter has the FX-6300 for $119 and the FX-8320 for $139. I play new games all the time and surf the net. I also use Pro Tools and FL Studio 10 for my music making. The phenom never gave me hiccups but I just like have the latest tech.

My current setup(Without CPU)

GA-78LMT-S2P (3.1)

MSI 7770 1ghz edition

8gb DDR3 1333mhz

500GB HDD (Soon to get aSSD)

Corsair CX750

ZALMAN CNPS9500A CPU cooler

Fosho. I'll get the 8320
fine I will be the bad guy. but the FX-6300 gets a $40 off motherboard discount.

but I would get the FX-8320 myself. games like BF3 and Crysis 3 use the extra cores.

6300 95W ver 125W overclocks pretty much the same. I am not so sure the 2 cores will make that much of a difference
