Agreed running that card myself and have a evga superclocked on another. Both awesome cards and with backplates so they wont ever sag. Oh and they are great at cooling for a single fan card. Barely can hear the fan at 50%

Get the Custom Cooled MSI/ASUS/Gigabyte card over EVGA's reference blower design(lounder & hotter than aftermarket dual/triple fan setups) unless you want to water cool. GTX 680 will thorttle & 13mhz in clock speed if it gets hotter than 70C so you should aim to get the best cooled card.

If those weren't out of stock on Newegg I would have recommended the 680 Lightning simply because it is the only 680 you can get software overvoltage support without using an unoffical Bios. This allows the Lightning to run at higher voltage than most other 680s and overclock further.

I agree with this one, since Lightning is out of stock everywhere, then your best buy is grab the Gigabyte Windforce or ASUS DCU II TOP/NON TOP version.

As others have said, the MSI lightning or the Asus DCU II TOP. Both are great choices. Reviews say that the Asus card is super quiet, if thats something you care about. Both will come factory overclocked and both should be very good overclockers beyond that as well.thumb.gif

Amazon still has the 680 Power Editions which are pretty much low binned Lightnings for around 480 bucks. Comes with the Lightning back plate and gpu reactor.

If you decide to get something else, get a 4gb card or a MSi 670 power edition IMO.

I would get as some others have mentionned any of the EVGA's 680 would be the best choice in reliability and quality in my opinion! I have a GTX 670 FTW that I bought when it first came out and I'm very happy with it. I would get one of the 4GB edition if you plan on keeping it a long time, otherwise a 2GB version would be awesome for a couple of years.

Are you only gaming at 1080p?
If you are just get a 2GB card. If you game at higher red eg. 1440p get a 4GB card.
