Especially when you've got stuff like Haven where my card has to be pushed to even equal a 670, if it gets OC'd... Anyways, I'm not saying AMD hasn't come a long way but they are in no respect equal to Nvidia. I think the Titan was kind of a move, just to state how much more they could do but don't.

It's kind of respectful in a way, if they really wanted to hurt AMD graphically they could it just isn't in their interest at the moment.

Woah..what? My 7950(OCd) competes with the 680..in almost all games. I honestly don't know where you are getting your info from. It flat out beats my 670 in every game. I own, both..so I'm pretty sure your info is incredibly wrong. Please don't post things you know nothing about.
maybe it beats your GTX 670 easily but I doubt it's whooping mine and I can flash it back to stock BIOS... thumb.gif

malmental that might be true but I don't think that changes the point that the 7950 competes with and often beats the 670 though. Mushroomboy has probably eaten one too many magic mushrooms.

Except if you have a 1400 mhz gtx 670 you cant really match a high oc 7950. Gl matching this one on graphic score

If a overclocked 7950 can match a 7970. THen ity has no problems beating a 670 or matching a 680.

Should look into the 7790 that just came out. Its a beast of a card for the average gamer and cheap.

Holy hell that OC. The highest I was ever able to get mine to was 1300, but at that point it was more for just running a benchmark. It couldn't run that way 24/7. But I am still very happy with my 1240/1750 OC. I can beat pretty much every stock 680, unless it's a game in which AMD just performs poorly.

You'd be very surprised. "This is OCN" has sort of lost it's meaning, it's being flooded by budget $400 gaming builds. frown.gif

Inasmuch as some of us are asked for recommendations by friends/relatives with lesser budgets, yes it is important to care about these cards.

Buying mid range card and overclocking them to match higher end is awesome.
