Can heat be causing BSOD's

Thread Starter
Just curios if ambient heat can be the cause for the BSOD's I am recieving?

I am overclocking my 1055t in My Current Project, my chip is keeping a reasonable temp, so I am wondering if the BSOD's could be caused by the MB getting to warm (hot)

I am getting different codes most time, sometimes it is 0x50 or 0x3B or 0x0A.

I am talking ambient temps between 26-29 degrees Celsius, my damn AC is broken, yes I am an AC mechanic but it still cost to repair things and time to save for it.

some people take tiny fans and point them at or strap them to the motherboard's heat sink.

its possible, to you happen to have a temp monitor...i highly doubt its mobo though. I personally have never seen a mobo overheat (just me, im sure it does happen) My BSOD's are normally driver or drive related.

I have a very precise digital thermometer.

But also have a copy of HW monitor pro. Have not been using though.

I have also been considering some sort of aftermarket cooling for the VRM's and northbridge chip.

I think the "3B" Blue screen is a bad driver of some type. My experience with BSOD is generally just that or bad RAM. Had a few from new hardware, especially android phones, but mostly RAM or drivers.

From memory 0x50 or 0x3B or 0x0A were related to unstable RAM or NB as stated above. I doubt it would be your temps.
