[CL] Battlefield 4 Poster with Release Date Gets Leaked - Page 2

No surprise. Considering BF3 and MOH: Warfighter had October release dates this seems to be the norm.

It will be interesting to see what BF4 turns out like. BF3 is still in a league way above COD's. The sound effects alone are enough to bring me back for that sort of BF experience.

I hope BF4 has better destruction than BC2.

BF3 destruction was like a joke. A huge downgrade from BC2.

It was always planned to be that way, I remember reading in the interview. The full scale destruction merely encouraged people to always use RPG's and UGL's which apparently spoilt gameplay. By adding some places that couldn't be destroyed, it increased tactical play and shootouts.

I personally think it was a good idea otherwise heavy weapons would be too prominent.

Considering they're just expanding on the Frostbite 2 Engine, it's not like they need THAT much time for development. They're used to the tools. They can plan things / implement / and test much faster. Typically implementing and testing take the longest, not sitting around thinking up good story lines.

I can see that making indestructable walls would create a more focused gun battle, but then why have explosives? Why not fully utilize the graphics engine and other weapons(explosives) at your disposal? Restricting explosives gives more of a disadvantage to the support classes in infantry only maps. Sometimes i'd rather take someone out other than shooting them. This is a modern game, if i see a wall, i would like to blow it up if i want to. I can see in some cases (metro) where restricting explosives is good, but overall give me the freedom to use my weapons as i see fit.

... as I said, apparently it just means that all people used was rocket launchers and UGL's... there has to be a fine balance.

Just have explosive kills not count as much...like maybe four explosive kills equals one regular kill? Though it would have to change from map to map...there are some maps where an explosive kill is harder to get then one with a rifle. Really I think if the server rotated maps it would probably even out in the end, but Battlefield is all about the kills now and I assume it will stay that way. I feel like before it was about winning the match, but now getting the kills are what matters.

I've also thought that vehicle kills counted to much as well. Another vehicle should be one kill...not one kill for each person inside it. Maybe one kill for each person that can shoot back with something other than a pea shooter.

I guess thats cool... It just feels like all of the dlc came out so fast that I havent really had anytime to dig in and enjoy and now the next installment is on the horizon. I bought BF3 on release date and premium when it came out. I don't think I'll do the same with BF4. I'll probably wait until some heavy discounts and pick it up, just because that's the ONLY game my circle of friends will be playing.
