BEST possible AGP at the Moment...

Thread Starter
Currently from what i know AGP is going out...and there probably is no point in getting a new AGP but i don't feel like spending 1000 on upgrades just yet cause if i do..i wanan go ALL OUT LATER...

but i'm running the AIW X800XT clocked at X850XT but the problem is i can't run splinter cell because of model Shader 2 vs model shader 3 (me having shader 2)

soo i know i might as well get the best out of my computer for now..
because it's O/Ced from 2.4 to 3.6 and it seems to handle everything but this game ....

MAIN POINT!
i just need to know regardless (prefer ATI) what AGPs currently are the best? i'm assuming that also mean the most money...for games...

because i have noticed it's harder to find AGP cards now..but the ones that are out there are decent priced....

THANKS in advanced...

I checked out Tom's but this chart is kinda outdated for AGP i beleive..

I put a geforce 7800GS 256MB in my dad's comp. It plays most games maxed out (cs:s, hl2 I know for sure) and it's not too expensive.

I didn't see it on NewEgg, but this is the best that Sapphire has to offer in its AGP line: X1950 Pro

Check out these at NewEgg (P.S. Can you paste links to search results? Not sure.)

X1950 Pro AGP is the fastest AGP card, besides maybe the Gainward 7900 GT 512mb card but its availability is low.

I replaced my Ati 9600 Pro with an Ati x1950 Pro (agp). I am very, very happy with the new vid card. If you can't hold out until the DirectX 10 capable cards come out, then go with an x1950 Pro.
Actually, no ones officially said they were going to support agp with the direct x 10 capable cards, and I have a feeling they might not.
But then, they did release the x1950 pro as agp, so who knows?
