Multimonitors help please!

Thread Starter
My brother has a 560ti on his PC and has 2 monitors. He wanted to get a 3rd monitor to work, and since there are 3 plugs on the 560ti (two dvis, and one mini hdmi) I thought it was possible to plug all 3 monitors into the same video card. I didnt really research it. I asked the store clerk and said it would work... after buying a new monitor we tried it out and found out that the 560ti only supports two monitors at the same time.

Later I tried plugging the 3rd monitor into the onboard motherboard graphics and it does work (I thought it wouldnt). So there are 2 monitors in the 560ti and 1 monitor on the motherboard. The cpu is the i7 2600. It seems to make the PC slower. He works with 3ds max and noticed that it runs slower. Is it because the onboard graphics conflicts with the rest of the setup?

He can return the monitor but he wants to have 3. Whats the cheapest way to fix this? Is there a better way to use both graphic cards? Or else the last option is buying a new GPU right? Thanks in advance!

You'll need an active display port to DVI adapter.

The HDMI and one of the DVI plugs are basically the same plug.
not really sure how to explain it right.
