100x48 as CPU strap's (i.e 125x40) do not boot with offset voltage and c1e enabled.

Upped voltage from my 1.42v (Prime95 12 hour stable) to 1.45v and I've successfully played 3 games without crashing.

It looks like my new official stress test is League of Legends! AT my Prime95 stable OC I can get LoL to produce at least 1 BSOD in a 3 hour gaming session.

Unfortunately that voltage is outside my thermal headroom. I was hitting low 70's on a light game like League of Legends...!

I find it odd that it was fine at 1.395v 5-6 months ago... maybe it had to settle in I guess. Took great care of it

I will settle for 4.7Ghz at 1.38v... =(

Thanks for all your help, reps all around

Ever try IBT, high settings, for testing? I like using that, quicker, wondering if it would've tripped you at 1.42v.

I recall on my 2500k IBT with AVX enabled produced much higher temps then prime95. I don't have the temp headroom for that. In fact I recall IBT/LinX with AVX producing temps 30C higher than the highest temp I've ever seen in real world usage.

It's a great test if you have the cooling for it, but my particular 3930k runs very hot, one of the hottest I've seen on these forums. The IHS is definitely concave as verified with xacto blade, but not in the middle; the concave is a bit off centre. Bowed water blocks like my h220 or Raystorm are only mildly effective in providing optimal contact for this particular sample, although much better than flat heatsinks which trapped a "puddle" of TIM around the centre. I would lap the chip if I didn't wish to retain my Intel Tuning plan. Unfortunately if they can't read the serial# on the IHS, it's not eligible for that plan (the no questions asked replacement).

But let me get back to you on that, I should be able to run that once I get my AC unit set up. I should be able to run it if I get the ambient temps low enough.

[EDIT] my pump died just now. It's possible the pump was intermittently failing when I was gaming and overheating before bsod. I play with headphones on, can't hear my pc at all. We'll see after I get it replaced.
