Macbook Pro SSD compitible with PC?

Thread Starter
I want to buy a Macbook Pro off my local Kijiji (Canadian Craigslist) with a stock 512GB SSD for my sister. However my sister doesn't need that much storage at all. I was thinking about swapping it with my Vertex 2 240GB and keeping the 512GB for myself. Is this possible?

Im pretty sure itd work... Youd just have to reformat it as NTFS as I'm sure Mac's use a different file system. What are the performance of the Mac SSDs like anyway? You dont want to lose any performance in the trade.
