Help choosing a mouse... again

Thread Starter
So my current mouse just sold... maybe I am just too picky, so now I am looking again for something to keep me company for Heart of the Swarm.

1. What's your grip style? palm mostly, fingertip occasionally if I get lazy, I have tried claw in the past and it was okay - but certainly not my default

2. What's your sensitivity? I usually set mine around 3000-3500 dpi, but I like having options to switch around

3. What's your maximum budget? $100 is a lot to spend on a mouse, unless it is perfect. but $50-75 sounds reasonable

4. Do you want additional buttons? should have at least two thumb buttons, that click easily and can be found without having to re-memorize a geographical map, and buttons that you can click with your hand in a rested position without having to move your placement on the mouse

5. What games do you play? StarCraft 2 - not multiplayer really, except for fun so no competitive mojo needed here, Diablo 3, FPS of all types - BF3, Borderlands, Metro 2033, Mass Effect 1, 2, 3, the occasional MMO... but I also want a mouse that I can use for standard windows/browsing usage

6. Do you mind about prediction? mice I have had in the past had it, it didn't kill me

7. Other relevant information:
  • I have had wrist problems in the past, and certain mice just don't jive with me - too much torqueing of my hand in either direction is a no-go
  • I use a cloth mousepad - steel series QcK SC2 Marine
  • I would prefer a mouse with some sort of LED lighting, even if it is small... preferably red or switchable
  • Build quality is important to me (I work in engineering), but so is customer service which is why I keep going back to Logitech, BUT I would love to find something out there that maybe I have missed (cooler master and corsair make good stuff, and maybe I am wrong about Razer and Steel Series... but I need evidence). Razer has always seemed very gimmicky to me, even though I love all their licensed stuff
  • I change my mind A LOT and have used the following mice before:
    1. Razer Lachesis - bought because I could use it with either hand, lights were nice, software was spotty, craftsmanship was cheap, comfort was not right profile for my hands in distance from fingertips to center palm (resting on mouse)
    2. Steel Series WoW mouse 1 - bought it for the macro options - left click button was terrible, did like the lighting and the side finger rests though, software was ok, made me not trust Steel Series mice
    3. Logitech Mx518 - my first real gaming mouse, worked great, hated the sweaty rubbery texture, eventually caused me to have wrist issues (I think) - might have been caused by raiding 8 hours straight in WoW as a healer (way too much thumb clicking)
    4. Logitech G500 - though it would be a good replacement for MX518 but the fit was not right for my palm, craftsmanship was superb though and I liked the rough texture, software good as well, liked the switching option for the scroll wheel
    5. Logitech G9x - didn't think it would be my style mouse because of the grip but learned to like it eventually, best FPS mouse I have ever used hands down, good software and build quality, like the option of weights, just not sure either grip fits my hand right... really a claw grip mouse
    6. Logitech G400 - MX518 clone, rubber feels just as cheap and the cable is really cheap feeling, did the job for a while though but I just sold it

So here is what in the hopper - a Rat 7 coming that I just traded for (I am suspect about anything from Mad Catz), working on maybe getting another G9x and maybe even a Razer Deathadder in trades so I can try some out against each other and see what works for me and what doesn't. is there something else I should consider? I will try not to be too OCD and picky and give every reasonable mouse a fair shake.

wireless would be nice as I am using it with a laptop, but that means it has to be a compact dongle or BT as I am not hauling around some wireless base with me (Rat 9)... but if the wireless is dead in 7 hours, might just be a waste of time. USB works just as well.
