CPU projects give significantly less points than GPU projects lol. The ones I get the most from are Correlizer, SkynetPOGS, Constellation, etc. Its just about having consistency. You aren't gonna see more than a few thousand per day at most on one system, depending on the project of course.

Primaboinca gives 200 credits per work unit and the work units take less than 2 hours to complete.

BOINC is more than just earning credits though, try to find a project whose goals you like smile.gif

It's not worth running CPU projects for the events lol. I tried that once and ended up with like 20k credits, which is some 1.3 million less than my highest XD.

Running them alongside GPU tasks can be the difference maker between placing where you did and a position or two higher. smile.gif

One of the projects i like is NFS@Home. It doesn't give too many points (65 pts with a 16e WU, and slightly less with the 14a and 15a) but it validates instantly. One warning though, the 16a WU's ear 1-2 GB of RAM per thread, so you'd need 8 GB to run in all 4 cores.

CPU projects are never known to give lots of points. Just pick one which you feel more comfortable with, or piques your interest.

That 6950 is where the points are at. Milkyway@Home likes AMD hardware, so does POEM@Home.

CPU projects are the least profitable, but are the most interesting and varied. Point in case, WCG biggrin.gif

I concur. Those extra 20k points may be the difference between one rank and the next. As we all say, every bit helps. biggrin.gif
