*waves his little Team Fortress 2 hat silently*
Games are generally for entertainment as previously stated by WorldExclusive
and the skill argument does get annoying after a while. While some might be entertained by accomplishment of a good challenge which requires skill the bigger portion of the market doesn't usually go in the same way. i enjoyed CoD back in the days when Single Player mattered (which for some reason is a taboo today), and that includes CoD 1, CoD UO (expansion pack), CoD 4 (which was decent though i like more the WW2 theme. also, the last game to get numbered according to the whole series
) and CoD (5) WaW (was kinda fun, mainly the flamethrowers
). never touched the multiplayer except a few rare times in CoD2 wheere i could find a server and even then it's TDM which isn't THAT enjoyable to me.
never had experience in the BF series though i remember that many friends of mine played 2142 and maybe BF2 or BC2 so i know it was enjoyable too.
To me a TF2 is a good game because it is enjoyable and simple (casual) but can also require skill and teamplay if desired. (more teamplay than skill)
Also, how could you not like HATZ
