PC 363D and Xonar Phoebus HELP?

Thread Starter
So recently I bought the Sennheiser PC 363D and Asus Xonar Phoebus for my gaming pc. Sounds and looks great for an headphone audiophile, but problem is,BOTH COME WITH A USB CARD, the sennheiser "G4ME1" and Phoebus "Control Box". The G4ME1 is a in+out jack to usb card while the control box is a in+out jack to 3 jack (for the soundcard). Any suggestions?

Look, I really don't mean to be a jerk, or rain on your parade, but please return both of those products ASAP.

The PC 363d is nothing more than a PC360 with a USB sound card. If you already have a sound card.....then what is the point? You can save alot of money right there.

The sound card should be the asus STX or the creative sound blaster Zx. Either sound card has dolby headphone which is the only thing that made the PC363d "surround" to begin with. If you get a better sound card (and trust me.....lower end sound cards sound better than the phoebus. Ask around and you will soon see that the phoebus is just severely overpriced) and enable the same function that is on the USB sound card you have now, then you combine all of the best of the two products you have now for about 100+ dollars less.

Yes. It is probably one of the best, if not the best sound card you can buy. The only other two that can touch it is the creative titanium HD (all though the outputs on the STX are far better), and the new creative Zxr. The difference between the STX and the Zxr is that the Zxr is going to be slightly more expandable, but you can find the STX used for 150 where as the ZXr is going to be 250. So that is a 100 dollar difference.

Even if you buy the STX new, I am not convinced that the ZXr is worth the extra 60 bucks.
