3gb of vram, bigger bus, and 5x1 eyefinity option....very tempting. I did have plans of quad 7970s but since you need a card with three dp to avoid screen tearing, I dropped that plan. Still, makes it a hard decision knowing Nvidia drivers still work much more stable then amd.

Far Cry? Not even my 6950 comes to being at its peak power consumption on Far Cry tongue.gif

I can hear it spinning down the fan almost the entire time, except when looking at the distance.

I want to see power consumption in Heaven/3DMark.

As for everything else you said, thanks. That's exactly what I meant.
a 7990 to a titan would more be like bananas to plantains.

There have been plenty of titan vs xfire 7970 reviews so we should have a pretty good understanding on what reference 7990 vs Titan (or sli Titan) will be. I'm sure amd will have their 7990 perform very close to xfire 7970, just like 690 vs sli 680. Its pretty obvious one Titan will still not outdo in entirety a 7990 (like the 690).
Ok in the time I was reading this thread 7 pages were added to it so the discussion has probably moved on but being a dual GPU card the performance will depend a lot on the came as it is essentially crossfire anyway.

Personally I would prefer a single GPU but if that's the way AMD is going to do it I don't really mind. I mean most of us probably just bought some 7970's, GTX690's or a Titan so I have a feeling this 7990 is already obsolete before it's even out, particularly with that 7990 devil card.
