High vc for OC, not sure what to do.

Thread Starter
I have a 3960x running at 4.7 Ghz and a 1.40 vc I can boot to windows with a lower vc, but I encounter errors in LinX. I had to decrease my memory to 1633 MHz to achieve a stable oc. I monitor my vc during idle and stress, at idle, my vc is like 1.383 or so, and at load, it drops to 1.60. if I try to adjust my LLC, it crashes, everytime, no matter what voltage. I have to keep it on auto, and all my other DIGI+ power settings on default also. If I change LLC to regular, my vdroop is crazy with .15v swings at load, needless to say, my computer crashes. No BSOD, just turns off and restarts after a couple seconds. My temps run about 78-83C with a custom loop. Is there any way to get my vc down to get my temps down?

Do you got the latest bios installed?
I can't really think of any other fix than getting the latest bios, and if that doesn't work try out some of the older ones!
If nothing helps, I would RMA the board, as that is not supposed to happen wink.gif
