1000 hours into the game here and it's not nearly as bad as you describe it to be.

Well, the graphics seem to be slightly improved, at least. Kinda bothers me that they are using a lot of the same models and textures, but I'll hold judgment until the final release comes out and I can play it.

Well, the story mode is going to be stellar from what it looks but obviously the technical achievements are in the animations, that and small things like movable grass and better quality ambient occlusion most likely. The poly count looks higher which makes me wonder if they have implemented tessellation.
The models are stripped from BF3 and lightly modded - blatantly, though they do look a bit better I'm not seeing a huge improvement in texture quality. This is expected when you factor in the fact that BF3 was released 1.5 years ago, the publisher is you know who and your aiming at an XBOX (you know that this will be released for the 360, no doubt). No surprises.

The single player story looks brilliant and intrinsically better compared to BF3 but a lot of on-rails "graphics" never translate to multiplayer - especially since most of the awe is around the static animations which are proprietary to the single player story mode.
In the end the question is going to be: how much is the story mode worth with a multiplayer map pack thrown in? It's the seasonalization of Battlefield essentially but if the price is right and the multiplayer content is there I'm on board when it's on sale. Just make the maps bigger...FFS thumb.gif.

Man someone of you would complain about the air we breath if given the chance. Jeez,

I'm looking forward to more information on it myself, but over all it looks good thumb.gif

To those that sit and complain from a pc chair all day, go to college, become a game designer and make the games the way you want. wink.gif

I play campaigns before anything else.

I buy FPS for the graphics and campaign and then indulge n Multiplayer after.
