Made maps smaller, and designed the maps in such a way that you can never really get "cut off" from any of the capture points.

In general, they made a LOT of changes that don't necessarily deny teamwork, but certainly allows users much more ability NOT to rely on a team, which is essentially the same thing as banning teamwork when it comes to public servers.

Yeah question is will they ever go back? I don't see it. Because they'll cater to what a 13 year old can pick up and be least confused about. Or that's how they made it seem when asking about 6 man squads, commanders, and 7 different classes upon the release of BF3.

There's a good possibility that we will actually see things like commander and VoIP returning due to demand. The size of squads is up in the air and it's unlikely that more classes will be implemented. The 4 classes do play many different roles and do support each-other nicely. Of course, there will probably be a lot more gadgets and equipment to encourage team-play between classes in BF4.

Well, since you're all already apart of this community, why not join the OCN platoon and play together against the lone wolf randoms? I generally don't even play BF3 unless people I know are signed on.

woah *** we jumped a page lol

A few competitive shooters have surfaced, none of which are on par with what the original games had. Call me spoiled or biased, don't care. I like the competition atmosphere, it's nice to be challenged evenly where it isn't me sucking because my team can't find the milk nobs on their own mother. Sorry, too many people are THAT bad.

Personally, anyone with a kdr below 1:1 angers me on my team. However I've played on servers where a few of us run the game, with a KDR of 2:1/3:1 or something like that. When that happens, I can imagine a person not having an easy time getting a 1:1 ratio. When you fight folks who go for the head, and hit it with 30%+, things tend to go very quick. It's why when I play a game that's "COD" style, I'll run over people with ease. Get accused of being a COD freak, no it's just COD is THAT easy. Your darn right I'll use the "cheapest" weapon, use the weapon that best fits your style. I'm a front line scout, assault/smg is my thing and how I play. So if they offer a very competitive edge where I can evenly compete against other styles, I'm in. If not, no thanks.

Oh wow 3 KDR so cool.

/sarcasm.

If you're going for kills and you're still ending up with a 3kdr with an AR it seems like you're the one who sucks at the game.

BF3 is not about KDR. 4-5KDR is easy if you actually try your ass off but I'm here to have fun so what I do is hop on a motorcycle go to the enemy base and steal their chopper.

Do you guys remember CQC expac? I remember spending about ~2 hours playing an absolute CHAOS-FEST where I spent over half my time suppressed, blindly stumbling around and spamming shotgun which had a 50% chance to miss. It was borderline unplayable to the point where dying 1-2 seconds after taking cover was simply accepted (as opposed to BF3's usual half-second delay even playing at <40ms) and sometimes I would run head-first into enemies, both of us spamming bullets into each other while the server tossed a coin and decided what it would register.

I am genuinely curious whether DICE is willing to try that again with BF4, because all I understood out of that expansion was that BF3 simply CAN'T DO close-quarters twitch shooting, the engine seems to be incapable of handling it by design and quickly dissolves into an unplayable laggy glitchy mess.

Praying your right thumb.gif that would be so awesome.

Never actually had that problem, even now that I don't have fiber internet anymore. I found the CQ maps really fun and well designed. I wouldn't ever do anything over 8v8, though.

I've learned to avoid OCN's game clans. They're all horribly mismanaged and in general the only people who are ever online happen to be terrible to play with.

I like OCN, and I even like gaming with individual members of OCN, but our game servers and clans are awful.
