Need help. New builder Z77X-UP5 TH - error code 15, then 51

Hello
I need some assistance finding out what is the source of my problem.

I am using a Z77X-UP5 TH with an Intel IB 3770K, and a GTX 680 with 4GB and an 850 watt psu.

I test booted and got the error code 15, quickly followed by 51. Checked the manual as suggested and it said something about the way the memory is configured.

System runs then quickly shuts down, then does this again, over and over.

I first installed the ram in slots 1 and 2 like suggested.
Next I tried installing the ram in slots 3 and 4.

I am pretty sure the ram I purchased is compatible with this MB
The ram is G.SKILL RipjawsX DDR3-1333 PC3-10666, 2 - 8GB sticks.

I have read other threads about updating the BIOS? is this something I need to look into?

Any suggestions on other ways I can test the motherboard or configure something differently would be extremely helpful!

Trying to figure out if I was really that unlucky to get a bad MB on my first attempt.

Thanks for checking this thread out and being helpful to a noob, and nice to meet you all!

Update... I took out both of the memory modules and got the error code 15, then 53.

After that I put in just one memory module into slot 1 and it seems the board booted up

I got the select proper boot device on the screen but the error code indicator on the MB now says AE, I assume thats just because of no OS or HDD

It seems as though one stick of the memory is bad.

Tested good module in slot 1, board boots to AE, tested other module in slot one and i get error 51 again.

It looks as though I have solved my own problem. This post can be deleted, i freaked out a little and ran to the forums

You guys do seem quite cool tho!

See ya later

Sorry I keep posting..

I am having trouble entering the BIOS

I press the DEL key and it goes to a blank black screen with a - blinking, then it goes straight back to the "reboot and select proper boot device" about 5 seconds after

Should I be able to enter the BIOS with one stick of ram and no HDD?

I thought this was supposed to be possible.

I can enter the F9 F12 menus but It wont go into BIOS when I am spamming the DEL key during start up.

Thanks again.

Do you have a spare PSU?

to get in the BIOS wait until it says 62 on the POST display and then hit delete over and over and it shoudl go into the UEFI, even without an OS.
