Looking for 2GB DDR

Thread Starter
I'll be needing some new memory for the new rig that i'm building, but i'm not the expert when it comes to memory like brands, timings, etc

In my old rig i have:

Kingston DDR400 PC3200 1GB (2 slots)

but for my new build i'm gonna be needing 2 GB, now i don't intend to use the kingston memory i already have cause those wouldn't be fit for the job. I see a couple of brands that people are using but not sure what i could take best for myself.....

System:

Mobo: Asus A8N32-SLI (S939)
CPU: AMD Opteron 175
GFX: 2x XFX 7600GT XXX

So can you guys reccomend me some memory (G.E.I.L., OCZ, Corsair) what i'll be needing, now the price i will be spending is around € 200 - 250.

store 2

thanks in advance !

Depends, will you be overclocking at all?

If you are, avoid the cheap stuff and go for DDR400 or even DDR500 from Consair or OCZ
If not, go for standard Consair Value

Possibilities...
Corasir C2Pro 2x1G
http://www.azerty.nl/producten/produ...0-mhz-2-x.html
Mushkin Extreme... usually good for 3-4-4-8 2.9v mid 260Mhz range. At least you know it does a bit better than 250MHz
http://www.azerty.nl/producten/produ...0-mhz-2-x.html
PQI, should do DDR500 speeds with timing adj and vdimm increases
http://www.azerty.nl/producten/produ...0-mhz-2-x.html

Another possible option but very expensive!
Corsair DDR550

Or check in there other sights ...

hmm i think i made up my mind, but i checked the users guide of my mobo and it says...

support DDR3200 400Mhz, but will my mobo support PC4000, 500 Mhz ?? cause if it ain't it wouldn't be wise to get those kind of memory...

does anybody know this ?
