The graphs show the truth which has been reproduced from various review websites now. I don't want to be rude to specific people but ill take the truth over what people claim they can notice or not. I know some people who think 20 fps is SMOOOOOTH and they would never notice this, I love them as friends and as people but those specific friends can be extremely..... dull... yeah dull is a nicer word.

It's not that bad, the graphs make it look a lot worse than it is. A lot of people can't even notice the stuttering.

Some people don't notice but it IS really bad for everyone (false sense of performance) but even worse for people who are sensitive to microstutter and or frametime skips. Its been bad since the 58xx generation for me and many others.

Had technical problems with SLI but constant stuttering in sli and triple sli was never an issue that cropped up. Quad SLI, like Quad CFX is just a head ache on both sides.

Yeah - the joker biggrin.gif

I would love Amd to have a card up their sleeve, then maybe i might have faith in gaming, cos games are so demanding, a single card does not do, and I hate the idea of sli/cf redface.gif

I would like to a see a graph showing the amount of people that can actually see the difference, because I can't.

the visual effect would be what appears to be a quick frame stutter. Maybe you attribute it to the CPU for a second without thinking more of it. There's plenty of people here that've had both Crossfire and SLI and it seems for the most part, they say it just "feels" smoother on SLI

Pretty much. I had Crossfire 3870's way back and they were HORRIBLE. I'm sure things have improved since then but I'm never going back after how bad of an experience that was.

Would essentially come out to a 50/50 split because half of the people are either too used to stuttering and don't notice it, can't tell the difference or just don't care and the other half notice it and do care.

Same here, but from the other party.

I cannot stress how terrible was the 8800GT SLI. Most of the games had terrible screen tearing. Others scaled like crap. But overall, most of them flat out refused to work.

I swear I'm never getting a dual GPU card solution from any of the parties, before extensively testing beforehand.

some of us do know that, all else being equal, that feel when no SLI/CF is smoother
