Far cry 2/3 are mess on PC for both teams, horrible optimization, doesn't even work of win 8 without ctd often.

I wouldn't touch far cry with sli or cfx.

Far Cry 2 wasn't THAT bad. there are games that have had much worse cases of consolitis. Metro 2033, for example, with its horrible mouse controls and narrow FOV.

Lol wut? Metro 2033 was the definition of top-tier PC graphics for years. 4A went balls out turning Metro into one of the best PC games of its generation. The game has completely configurable key bindings & the only mouse issues occur in eyefinity or surround resolutions. It doesn't have an FoV slider but that's literally the only thing wrong with it in terms of PC gaming options. It's the total opposite of a console port. You must be confused?

Why are there graphs with FRAPS framerate lower than hardware and practical framerate? Is that data taken from a separate run?

The mouse sensitivity adjustments are so coarse that it's near impossible to set the mouse at the desired sensitivity.

The game has some weird stuttering issues that you can't completely remove. There was one area in the game where the stutter made it almost unplayable for me.

The texture resolution is pretty bad compared to games like Crysis.

The AI is also horrible.

All I have to say is assassins creed lol. Now that game has no idea how to run with more than one GPU.

I've come to hate Far Cry 3. People make such a big deal out of it and it's not even a good game. It's full of bugs, traces of story/game elements that were sloppily excised due to deadline issues and severely lacks optimization. Yet people keep singing its praises... No wonder the game companies keep putting out buggy, unfinished products; most of the market are suckers.

As for the topic at hand, I don't deny that AMD has frame time issues right now. They've admitted as much and are working on a June-release driver that will hopefully remedy the situation. Tom's Hardware, however, is neither a trustworthy nor a reliable source. They may have been something special in the nineties but they aren't worth the read today. People who quote TH articles for a news post of this type are probably trolling. Regardless of whether or not there's any truth in it.

FC3 is the only DX11 title I've played that stutters on BOTH my AMD systems (A10-5700 and X6+6950 2GB).

It stuttered on my desktop quadro as well as my mobile 7670M.It seems pretty much fixed on the nvidia side, AMD one still showcases why a reported 50fps feels not as smooth when high latency spikes are involved.

Agreed, Metro has stuttering alone it's ridiculous at parts.
