Yamakasi 300 Sparta 2560x1600 no longer displaying full resolution!

So i ordered from ebay came very very quickly, i orderd the multi version

Did the pixel test all seemed to fine though the color definately needed tweaking

I was very happy and suprised that it supported maximum resolution through the Vga port (dvi or hdmi would have beeen better but this would do for time being)

then it goes black and i cant figure out why, wasnt hot or anything. now it will only work if i set a resolution under the native one like 2048x1536.

i tried hdmi 1.4 cable, hdmi to dual link dvi cable and none of them will support the native resolution.

Is there an active adaptor that can support this hdmi to dual link dvi avalible?

(my laptop only has hdmi and vga, its a sony Z series with an 7670m late 2012)

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated i can add jpg's if need.

Cheers

No. You bought a monitor not suited to your laptop.

You *might* be able to run the monitor with a custom refresh rate of ~42hz...

There aren't any commercially available HDMI to DL-DVI adapters (every single one I've been able to find on Google are not dual link adapters). You need some sort of active signal de-interlacer to go from HDMI - >DL-DVI.

I thought the full resolution was only supported through DVI-D. Almost all of the ebay sellers mention it.
