AMD's "Gaming Evolved" = nVidia's "The Way It's Meant To Be Played". Basically it's something AMD should have been doing from a LONG time ago, i.e. proactively releasing drivers to make sure a new game runs smoothly from the very start. That's all Gaming Evolved means, that the game will work smoothly upon release with AMD cards. By no means does it guarantee superior performance to nVidia cards, that's not their "goal" (and if it IS the goal then that would be dumb).

In the past AMD owners typically had to wait 1-2 weeks (or at least several days) AFTER a new game's release to get a set of optimized drivers for that game. When it came to working closely with developers to get a nice set of functional drivers, nVidia seemed to do it a hell of a lot more often (especially when it came to SLI profiles) compared to AMD.
Gaming Evolved is basically AMD saying "see, now you won't have to wait for a stable driver release! We're working with game developers now!" (like nVidia have been doing for years and years tongue.gif).

Looking very good. To be honest I can't tell any framerate loss with a 7970 xfire.

One problem I'm having though is constant headaches with the game when played on Ultra @ 1920x1080. No idea why, I thought it was FOV but It's not helped. Only seems to be this game though.

Hmm on my 7870 myst oc'd im getting like 65-75 fps average on the benchmark, and possibly more in game.

The 660 Ti reigns supreme as the Price/performance champ. I guess there is hope for it after all. thumb.gif

2 reviews AMD wins, 1 Nvidia. Not sure what to believe but its a easy game to run and not a graphics masterpiece.

Not at all. I changed my FOV to the maximum that the game will allow. There's also a tweak which you can apply to the .cfg file to increase the FOV,

PCGameshardware benchmark is using a beta nvidia driver and should be disregarded. Quite baffling as the WHQL driver (314.22) came out prior to the Bioshock release
