Seriously, the Simon and especially LG's Prada are all prior art and I love how "Project Purple" magically comes out of nowhere just for Apple to go "hey trust us...we were working on this since 2004. Why would we lie?"

Lol, back in 2005, Neonode had a touchscreen smartphone with "slide to unlock" gesture. And now Apple claimed it as their own. Pathetic. I support Android all the way.

I think to car designers its whatever is popular and sleek, works. As long as their logo is on it... the internal parts will make all the difference in the end versus the exterior. Plus they have a mind. It doesn't take much of a thought process to re-arrange a phone design like apple has. its just correcting prior mistakes they could've avoided anyways, and moving the camera side to side.

Not only that, but cars have been around for so long that the basic shape of a car is probably deemed as prior art basically.

Same goes for engine configurations.

Though technically there are devices that point to prior art that Apple's lawyers refuse to believe exist.

If this kind of stuff went on in the auto industry, each manufacture would have ONE car, with outlandish styling, with psychotically nonsensical engine layouts, seating arrangements, and all sorts of crap like that.

Just to keep the other from suing them.

And none of them would be good. They would all suck crap.

And you can always tell a samsung phone from an iPhone.

The camera is always centered.
