Gigabyte 670 OC Gotta Go!...AMD 7970, Here I Come!...So How Is PowerColor?

Thread Starter
After a month owning a Gigabyte 670 OC, it needs to be returned or exchanged due to severe artifacts after a couple of hours of gaming. I have a MicroCenter in-store replace/exchange warranty so I don't have to go through Gigabyte wheee.gif

I've decided to get a 7970 instead of getting another 670. Here are my questions:
  1. Anybody familiar with PowerColor?
  2. Are they reliable when making graphic cards?
  3. Should I make the even swap for the PowerColor 7970 V3 OR spend an extra $22 for the Diamond 7970?

On my way to MC so I hope you share your thoughts. I'll be checkin' the phone after I get to the store.
Thanks in advance thumb.gif

If it were me I would go with the Diamond 7970 looks like you get crysis 3 and BioShock Infinite free. The PowerColor does have two dvi ports and one is a dual link but, I did some looking around and there are no heatsinks on the memory or vrms you do have two fans blowing down on them but picking between the two I would go with the reference cooler.

Started to buy the Diamond because of the free BioShock & Crysis 3 but decided to spend an extra $40 for a MSI GTX 680 TFIII. And guess what?...
The sales rep still gave me the coupon for the free BioShock Infinite & Crysis 3 wheee.gifwheee.gifwheee.gif

Today was a great day thumb.gif
