That definitely sounds like you set your SSDs up for RAID1 accidentally. You're going to have to make sure they're not running as a RAID, format both, then install OS on whichever one you want. I've never heard of this happening just because you have 2 SSDs plugged in; this is because you somehow set them up as a RAID array.

What motherboard do you have? Your BIOS should definitely have a setting to disable RAID.

Remove all drives except the one you want to install the OS to.

Boot to the OS disc and format the drive...then reinstall windows.

After installing the OS install the drivers.

Re-connect the other drive and delete anything on it that you do not require.

Install apps to whichever drive you choose...hope this helps

that worked

sure look alot better now i diasbled a bunch a stuff more space now thumb.gif

once i had os installed i just disconnected the os ssd after shutdown and formatted the other drive through the disc
the intel toolbox still wouldnt let me secure erase the drive arrrggfgfdf
anyway everything is good now thanks to you thumb.gif

just one minor question

i installed winrar on the ssd without the os
and it still puts winrar in the startup folder under C drive which has windows os
should i be worried?
shouldnt it be only accessible through my second ssd?
not the first one with os right?
