Windows DPC Latency Issues

Thread Starter
Iv been all over the web trying this and that to get these latency spikes to go away.

Hpet on Hpet off

All kinds of things in the registry,

bought a soundcard because i thought it was the onboard sound.. (when i use to turn it off it seemed like the spikes go away.) But when i play games or stream music, there will be a big time stutter and the music with quite for a second or stop all together and my game will just stop for a sec sometimes 2.

Iv downloaded and tried "timer resolution" "Smithson Martin DPC latency enhancer"

Tried the WoW tweak.. Bah nothing seems to work..

What could be causing this. My old crap asus m4a87TD Evo didnt have these kinds of problems, alittle hickup every now and again..

So anyone know of anything else to try?

I had a dpc latency problem that I solved by removing the m-sata ssd that was caching my hard drive. Weither it came from the acceleration driver or from the ssd itself i don't know.
Now you obviously have a different problem but this might help thinking in the right way ....

Wow now you got me thinking..

This issue didnt start happening till i got my new parts.

SSD - ocz vector
Mobo - used crosshair 4 extreme
cpu - amd 8350

I was thinking it had to do with the crosshair 4... Thought it was drivers, nope maybe the hardware was faulty and that was why it was on the used bin for 100 bucks. read lots about it being related to onboard sound, so i got a new 120 doller sound card lol..

But it might be all cause of the SSD eh.. Here i thought all my games felt smoother played better and well everything is way faster...

There is a new firmware for it but that will require ALOT of work.. gota get another hhd and put windows on it, then take the ssd update the firmware reinstall windows on the SSD.. oyie..

i guess one of these weekends ill have to grab me nuts and just dive into the 4~6 hours of install and update..
