NV is cheating in new drivers! Reason why NV can compete with AMD in Tomb Raider and Bioshock etc.

NV decreased compute precision to FP16 when AMD uses FP64, so it's 4x times better on the AMD version than the Nvidia version. It is affects image quality.
This is the reason why NV new beta and whql driver get performance boost in TR and Bioshock and some other AMD prefered games over previous driver.

This was discovered by Knyz the developer of many different alternative KZ drivers and patch for some games (including GTA IV, Half life 2, Crysis, etc...)

What do you think guys?
We looking forward NV response...

So Nividia released drivers quickly to help their customers get back in the game in a playable manner. I don't see the problem here. If it is 2-3 months later and there are no new drivers to adjust the situation then its an issue.

AMD was taken to the gallows by review sites over decreasing image quality for performance on the driver level during the 48XX series timeframe. If true, drama may ensue.

The problem is that NV did not inform the users that the image quality may be worse than not just AMD' s image quality but worse than previous NV drivers iq.

And after this we can not compare graphic cards performance...

Yep the famous Geforce FX performance cheating...

Pardon me if I'm skeptical of the claims of some random web poster. Seems like the kind of thing that would be trivially easy to confirm or refute by a competent review site, so maybe let's just wait and see on this one.

Would like to see how this unfolds, if this is true then bad Nvidia.

Huh?

I can push full FP64 on my Titan at driver level - guess how much difference that makes to games?

0, a big fat one at that.

Floating point compute performance isn't relevant for games at all, I think this was at least proven with TR where AMD claimed TressFX leveraged their compute advantage but actually, after a patch and Nvidias .21 driver, the benchmarks favored green? Compute is great if you fold, BOINC etc, not game.

This.

Also forgive me if I would take a post from a user with 0 rep and 12 total posts with a username "7970user" bashing Nvidia with a grain of salt, especially with a proof being a post from some dude claiming Nvidia stole his algorithm doh.gif
