Does Steam have the worst support of any company out there???

Reinstalled Windows over the weekend and Steam would not let me log in. Checked my e-mail and I have nothing from them. I can not activate steam without the "code" they are apparently sending me.
I know my log in credentials and dont understand why i cant just sign in.

After 6 days with Steam support they still have only sent one generic reply to my ticket....

I've been waiting for 4 days on a ticket for an issue with a game installation. Go Valve! Or not.

The system is in place to help against account theft, yes it's a PITA but if it saves your account then tell me you hate it. Have you checked your junk folder, changed your email address lately?

EA takes the crown btw!

Sounds to me like you turned on SteamGuard - which is a good thing. You can help yourself a lot here by making sure you had or have used an updated email that only you have access to so you can get the code - it is sent almost instantly - so you can login steam since you reformatted.

Must admit I've always had good experiences with Steam support - quick and helpful usually.

If you've got Steam Guard on you will need the code to log in, sure your email is correct and that it's not filtering it as spam?
