Could you please define your "energy efficiency" standards. The latest processors and hardware are the MOST ENERGY EFFICIENT hardware available out there IMHO. Intel processors are the most energy efficient today. I also agree with the Pentium G620 suggestion which is just $69. Then you can just add a GT 610 or perhaps just use the integrated graphics

I've downclocked my A8 4500m in laptop to1.4ghz and it gives better backup uptown 5hours while watching movie so go with amd apu like a4 and downclock it much better and cheaper than Intel and good graphics too
