It could be and maybe not

Did you really not know that you use slot 1 and 3 or slot 2 or 4?

Now the performance decrease isnt as significant as im making it seem. I am very picky with my graphics, to the point the slightest microstudder will drive me insane. if its not perfect i must find a solution.

Its completely playable, although i need it to run as smooth as humanly possible.

were you running both stock?
if you went from a overclocked i7 to a 3770k at stock then the performance difference really isnt much different. OC that 3770k
If you can bump your CPU upto 4.2ghz or higher

Good to know you fixed your memory problem, having your RAM in dual channel is a must.

I tried OC last night, I over volted and then had a blue screen at 4.7...im really unsure how to determine a save voltage.. ill do more experimenting later sincei have a 3 year warranty with it at Microcenter.

Also yeah ill put the RAM in its correct DIMMS when i get home.. hope that fixes my issue!

Since i didnt have my RAM in Dual channel, is it most likely the reason im experiencing performance drops? I read that if you have in the wrong slot, some mbo wont even start, mine started fine and read 16GB, although the speed was not 1866 when i checked in the BIOS, maybe thats why?

Im pulling my hair out at work dieing to get home and see if this resolves my issue, so i can start focusing on OCing and more positive things.
