Asus M5A97 R2.0 AMD970 SKAM3+
What do you guys think? is it worthy? or should i wait for any new hardware?
I'll be using my 560ti since i only need those 3 pieces and i think this is the best low price solution,
personally weather or not you oc, no matter which amd processor you get i recommend changing the heatsink. you can hit throttling issues while gaming. my mother uses my old 6100 and only reason i didnt is it will never get hot enough to throttle with internet gaming ( facebook ) and what not ( although i did use a 8350 cooler... )
i dont know much about the psu all i will say i i will only buy seasonic ( personal choice although there are several good companies )
i would go up a few boards for several reasons, 1 if you plan on crossfiring as a cheep upgrade, 2970 is just meh i highly recommend the sabertooth ( any rev of it ) a bit pricier but alot more features.
also give you the capability to oc should you choose
also i would ( again personal choice ) stay away from gigabyte board if you plan on ocing. they tend to suffer from a BIG vdrop even with llc stick with asus. my last board was a 970 giga and.... lets just say it lasted 3 months before i switched to asus samerkitty. and i love it!~ wont buy any board but asus just because of the extra features, esp for ocing. just my
i have seen several replies stating that to get any value you need to oc. your games will run fine with the 4300 6400 or 8320/8350 at stock.
