Ultimate Generic Light Business-Use PC

Thread Starter
I've been thinking about ideas for building a computer that would be great for strictly light business use. By "light" business use, I mean single user, spreadsheets, tax programs, remote desktop, internet browsing, email, skype, etc. Here is what I'm thinking in terms of requirements in no particular order:

1. Reliable
2. Responsive
3. Small form factor
4. (as cheap as possible just for fun, with regard to the above constraints)

I'm thinking Windows 8 and appropriate mobo, 4GB ram, small SSD, backup storage of some type, wifi. Of course no graphics or sound cards...

If price is kept low enough, it can be written off as a business expense rather than depreciated over time.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Is for fun tongue.gif

This one is very small: http://www.mini-box.com/M350-universal-mini-itx-enclosure

Pick any H61 board with wifi and whatever is intel's cheapest CPU with built in graphics.

Just buy the Lenovo M92P tiny. Fantastic little thing

otherwise, as above + A8-5800k + 128GB Samsung 830, 4GB RAM and you're flying

PS. AMD APU graphics > Intel HD anything

Check out the Intel NUC line, Next Unit of Computing. All of the laptop parts in a tiny little box. Reminiscent of the Mac mini in size. Low power proc, SODIMM, mSATA, dual HDMI ports! Use an Intel 6235 wireless card to get Bluetooth 4.0
