Cool idea, I would've been interested on my 3770k delided. But my Apogee Drive II with CLP already runs as low as 20-22c on idle. And load is only 50-55c @ 5.0.

I think a good relidding seems to alleviate most issues people have with the IB IHS... newer coolers are designed to mate with the slightly convex IHS and much better heat transference happens then... problem is the IHS just kinda sits there now as it isn't really attached anymore.

You can do this with any block come on guys.. You just need the measurements of the space that go between mobo and where the block sits you can space it out with 1mm washers...
