[Fudzilla] AMD preparing new Never Settle bundle - Page 3

By looking at his sig rigs, it would be fair to speculate were he stands and that no matter what AMD did it would always be wrong. But that's just speculation, altough it's hard to think why someone wouldn't be pleased by such a bundle and would write such a funny complaint if he wasn't a fanboy. Go figure.

Why does it have to be games released THIS month?

Why not Dead Space 3 or Aliens Colonial Marines or Sim City or StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm or a coupon for Dead Island Riptide when it comes out in 3 weeks?

I get what 47 Knucklehead is saying, but you can sell the games for $30-50 or even better (depends on how you sell and how much patience you have).

I don't have any use for games in general, but complaining about AAA games is like biting the hand that feeds you.

Not all my machines are in my sig, they are just my most current builds. Two of my slightly older rigs have AMD cards in them. Granted they are 6970's, but still. Before I bought my GTX 580, I was FIRMLY in the AMD/ATI camp. Before my 6970, I have dual 4870x2's (I just recently sold here on OCN), I sill have a rig that I'm about to part out with dual 3870's, before that 9800, and 9600s.

So you might want to not make an ASSumption about me being an nVidia fanboi based on my sig rigs.

I would be in for 2 7970s if they ever drop below $350.

that third 7950 is looking like a good possibility if this is true lol

Some of my favorite games in the last year+ (if not last 3 years) have been Sleeping Dogs, Bioshock Infinite, and Tomb Raider and I've thoroughly enjoyed Hitman Absolution and Crysis 3. Haven't even gotten to Far Cry 3 yet!

Edit: forgot about Tomb Raider doh.gif

The Bundled new(+/- 1 month from release) games can be sold for $40+ on Ebay each, the process is quite simple so I just treat these game bundle as additional rebates (as I never get any game I like to play in these bundles). I found that it is a lot easier to persuade people to pay your $80 on Ebay for Crysis+TombRaider Game key than $150 of F2P credits.

The question is what's the problem with their supposed choosing? Aliens Colonial Marines isn't going to have people contemplating buying a new graphics card the way BF4 is. Even with their current Crysis 3 + Bioshock Infinite deal, it's marquee games with a lot of hype surrounded it.

I never said that AMD is "trying to interfere with your freewill". Maybe you should actually learn to read what I said before you try putting forth that strawman argument up against me.

C'mon man, that's irony for you. Figuratively speaking, you're complaining that AMD is forcing you to buy something against your will(something that you wouldn't buy anyway, looking at your sigs, but that's just pure speculation from my part), instead of them giving you the choice of which games to bundle, ergo in a sarcastic remark, AMD is interfering with your free will.

Maybe you should learn that things doesn't always are as direct and literal as the interpretation you've made of just a sarcastic joke, and to not take things so seriously. thumb.gif

Thank you.

I use video cards for more than playing the latest game. The game that I play the most is a AAA game that is over two years old (Rift). Before that, I played a AAA game for 4 years (Vanguard). Before that it was a AA game for 7 years (Asheron's Call). Before that a AA game for 7 years (Mechwarrior). Yeah, I play some of the more "common titles", but not nearly as much as the "Oh, I gotta have it, play it for 3 weeks until I beat it, then move on" crowd plays.

Besides, most of my machines and video cards are doing things that have nothing to do with gaming. They are for rendering and Folding. And as we all know, with Folding, AMD cards are next to worthless.
