I really do not understand what there is to complain about. Don't like the games that come with it, just sell them on and get some cash back. Simples.

I cannot complain for certain. I've gotten three free games out of my R7950, two of which I would have likely have never of purchased, yet am glad I actually had the chance to play them.

I use video cards for more than playing the latest game. The game that I play the most is a AAA game that is over two years old (Rift). Before that, I played a AAA game for 4 years (Vanguard). Before that it was a AA game for 7 years (Asheron's Call). Before that a AA game for 7 years (Mechwarrior). Yeah, I play some of the more "common titles", but not nearly as much as the "Oh, I gotta have it, play it for 3 weeks until I beat it, then move on" crowd plays.

Besides, most of my machines and video cards are doing things that have nothing to do with gaming. They are for rendering and Folding. And as we all know, with Folding, AMD cards are next to worthless.

I thought folding was greatly improved recently, with the latest folding core 17 or whatever. Just going from what I've read lol.

Unless you get your choice of game(s) that will be included with your new video card purchase (say from a list of about 10), I would much rather just have the cost of my video card REDUCED by the average cost of the game.

If I want a game, I'll buy it. I don't want to pay for some game that I may not care about just because a video card manufacturer THINKS I might want to play it just because I'm buying a new video card.

Are you somehow paid off by Nvidia? Voice of Opposition? "OF COURSE YOU ARE"

In fact everything that has to do with AMD you have the "voice of opposition" for, in almost everything thread involving AMD i see you in this trend follows. [Your a repeat offender] Why is your voice of opposition so strong towards AMD huh?

Quite frank i think your nickname suits you perfectly.....what a Knucklehead mellowsmiley.gif

Before my 6970, I have dual 4870x2's (I just recently sold here on OCN), I sill have a rig that I'm about to part out with dual 3870's, before that 9800, and 9600s.

I not sure I like how free video games is becoming a deciding factor in buying a video card. Personally its never really been a huge factor, but there has never been big deals like what AMD is bundling.

Props to AMD though. Being highly competitive in what seems like a stale market to me.

Thread Starter
I agree that every game they offer has some value, you guys have some narrow thinking...

AMD's hardware is now in every mainstream next generation consoles, Wii U has semi-custom AMD's GPU, PlayStation 4 has semi-custom AMD's APU that is CPU and GPU combined then Xbox 720 will also have AMD's hardware as planned. AMD's has a monopoly in mainstream console's, with Never Settle(AMD Gaming Evolved) the game developers and publishers profit from it and they don't charge the full price for their games being shipped with the graphic card.

AMD most likely offered premium driver support and in advance gave details and developer kits/prototypes to them involving next generation consoles for the game developers/publishers, EA DICE's Battlefield 4 is most likely to be in NVB(AMDGV) as also Ubisoft's Watch Dogs since they are both going to be on next generation console's and they will have premium support and help from AMD involving drivers and all the console's. AMD can handle that and they will profit from it.

This is actually a win for everyone, its for the game developers and publishers, its for an AMD a great move and for us customers and we all profit from it also AMD also produces processors as we all know so game developers will know how to program, adapt and use advantages of Bulldozer architecture and AMD will help them use more core's.

In short: AMD executed a "blitzkrieg", Nvidia din't anticipated and Nvidia scrambled GTX650ti Boost that is not that great as people believe...

Anyway I hope you din't forget about SteamBox, Valve and Gabe Newell... Now they are bigger chances that Valve's official SteamBox will have AMD's hardware and Gabe Newell said that he wants an affordable and powerfull PC "console" so AMD is very viable and chances are now far more higher...

Xi3's Piston "Steambox" has AMD's hardware, so I think everyone will focus on AMD, Razer could also focus and I saw on twitter account Roy@AMD from AMD's CEO Roy this: https://twitter.com/amd_roy/status/315148545185431554

I didn't even get keys with my 7870XT mad.gif

I wish AMD would organize this better, they need to distribute more codes.
