[Fudzilla] AMD preparing new Never Settle bundle - Page 5

AMD's hardware is now in every mainstream next generation consoles, Wii U has semi-custom AMD's GPU, PlayStation 4 has semi-custom AMD's APU that is CPU and GPU combined then Xbox 720 will also have AMD's hardware as planned. AMD's has a monopoly in mainstream console's, with Never Settle(AMD Gaming Evolved) the game developers and publishers profit from it and they don't charge the full price for their games being shipped with the graphic card.

AMD most likely offered premium driver support and in advance gave details to them about next generation consoles for the game developers/publishers, EA DICE's Battlefield 4 is most likely to be in NVB(AMDGV) as also Ubisoft's Watch Dogs since they are both going to be on next generation console's and they will have premium support and help from AMD involving drivers and all the console's. AMD can handle that and they will profit from it.

This is actually a win for everyone, its for the game developers and publishers, its for an AMD a great move and for us customers and we all profit from it also AMD also produces processors as we all know so game developers will know how to program, adapt and use advantages of Bulldozer architecture and AMD will help them use more core's.

In short: AMD executed a "blitzkrieg", Nvidia din't anticipated and Nvidia scrambled GTX650ti Boost that is not that great as people believe...

Anyway I hope you din't forget about SteamBox, Valve and Gabe Newell... Now they are bigger chances that Valve's official SteamBox will have AMD's hardware and Gabe Newell said that he wants an affordable and powerfull PC "console" so AMD is very viable and chances are now far more higher...

Xi3's Piston "Steambox" has AMD's hardware, so I think everyone will focus to AMD, Razer could also focus and I saw on twitter account Roy@AMD from AMD's CEO Roy this: https://twitter.com/amd_roy/status/315148545185431554
Heres my opinion on the whole console situation. Its probably fit for a different thread so I won't go into much on it.

Devs will still be lazy for PC as long as there is the illusion that PC gamers are a bunch of pirates. Plus, until all consoles use a DX API there will always be a difficulty in porting a console game to PC. Plus plus, they still won't care for giving us proper options in the menus because they seem "unnecessary".

So no, I really don't think AMD becoming a standard in consoles will make console ports better at all. They might run slightly better, thats it.

No ones forcing anything upon you and they dont do much in terms of price either considering the cost of the cards, before the bundles arose how much were the cards? Now how much are they now? Pretty much the same. This isnt geared to hurt the consumer. In all actuality it hurts AMD [Not by much anyhow]. I also love how you lie to yourself saying "Whoa is me, what if i dont play those games?". They are AAA games im pretty sure you can sell them or ignore them all together.

Anyhow i like how you tried to shove what i said off and tell me to learn how to read. Yet i hear no denying your biases that i called you out on.

Blooddrunk, I partially agree with you. Well those game developers and publishers live in an illusion and people will stop buying their games on PC because they are slacking off and they will wonder why people don't buy their games, then they will blame piracy and then they will go bankrupt eventually...

I admit that I pirated games, but the games I liked I bought them gladly... and now I stoped. Its just a period for every customer even thought its a way to spend money on the games you think deserves it. rolleyes.gif

Anyway how I could describe Nvidia's current situation and in the future:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jn6jwMoVXG8

That got to hurt and its going to leave a mark... biggrin.gif

Well the big thing is they are literally shooting themselves in the foot with DRM crap. I don't mean DRM as in always online, but all these loop holes and hula hoops we have to jump through to get a damn game to work now days. Getting Dark Souls to even work was harder than the actual game, and online still doesn't work...

Here we go again. The bundle is a good deal. Not everyone finds it a good deal. They are all good cards. So what on earth is it that is making people rage? And in fact, if you actually read what 47 Knucklehead said you would realize that he is far from biased.

Thank you.

And as for him wondering why I haven't replied to him, the answer is simple, when someone I've never talked to before basically "introduces themselves" with what amounts to a pathetic personal attack (ie the Knucklehead comment ... which is hardly original), I pretty much just automatically click on their avatar and select "block member".

Bet the new game will be the new cod in november. I would bet my god damned hard earned cash on it.

@Blooddrunk

Most companies are dumb and use DRM and I think only few exsamples of good DRM are made by Bohemia and Croteam that were funny and as a precaution added and activated if the game is pirated. EA is going to kill them self with those micro-transactions and I wonder why Activision is not dead already, they recycle their content like paper and turn 1 dollar into 10 dollars mad.gif

Hopefully couple of unneeded companies that want to milk us for our cash too much could die soon, too bad THQ died sad-smiley-002.gif

Why isn't this being done for AMD CPUs? The Never Settle bundle was one of the reasons why I went ATI over nVidia back in December. Ultimately it was price/performance but I can see a lot of people basing their decisions off of the free games. Having a bundle with AMD CPUs would be attractive to gamers who don't exactly need a strong CPU to run their games. Maybe it just wouldn't be cost effective for AMD.
