I want to add Primochill UV green tubing to my case and I'm wondering if theres something better than a white cathode light strip to get this tube shining bright..

You must use a UV purple cathode tube to get the uv effect. I made the same mistake.

I just got a bag of 400 5mm UV LEDs from a shop on EBay. Arrived pretty quick by shipped from China standards.

Linky: http://www.ebay.com/itm/280924255014?var=580116032320

I'm going to be building my own LED strips with 100% edge to edge coverage using the 5mm LEDs. They're ridiculous and over the top, but they edge light like crazy.

I also got 200 each of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, cool white, and 100 warm white to round out my supply. 1,700 total LEDs.

I have a laser cutter, so I make the base for the strips out of 1/8" acrylic and solder them by hand. I'm looking to have boards fabbed in the near future for them as well. It's pretty easy. You just bend over the legs + to - into groups of 4, the wire each group in parallel.
