Fan Controlling - Need-to-know's

In my next build I plan on using a Corsair H100i for CPU cooling.
I'm replacing the radiator fans with either Bitfenix Spectre Pros, or Enermax Clusters (I want white LED), then every fan is going to a Scythe Kaze Master Flat fan controller. (discontinued, but scored one on ebay. Very low profile controller for all you minimalists.)

Will this work?
Are the fans compatible with the controller and such? Do i need adapters?
Im so bad at figuring this kind of stuff out.

What do I need to know.

As long as your fans have a 3 pin MB connector you will not need an adapter. Very few manufacturers sell fans with Molex connectors anymore, everyone uses 3 pin.

Im getting the Asus P8Z77-V Pro mobo and apparently it has 4 pin headers. So apparently I WILL need adapters?

4-pin fans will work on 3-pin headers
and 3-pin fans will work on 4-pin headers as well
though
i thought youll be controlling fans via a fan controller ?
i dont see the relevance of what kind of headers the motherboard has

I thought you were saying you were going to run your fans on a fan controller. If you are running them on the controller it doesnt matter if the MB has 28 pin fan headers, you will not be using them.
