I'd recommend 670 SLI over a titan. It's cheaper and performs better where SLI is implemented properly, which is most games these days. I don't find that microstutter is really something to be concerned with in SLI.

I'm reading THIS ATM, but i read tons of forums & guys that is suffering from that micro stuttering & is damn annoying ...
But, isnt the Titan can be an overall powerful as much as any Sli ... ( well not an 680's sli or 690 ) ? wink.gif

'' The GeForce GTX Titan sports the fastest GPU ever seen: GK110. Unfortunately, that one chip isn't quite as fast as two GK104s, which you find on Nvidia's GeForce GTX 690, even though it also costs $1,000.

Although we're impressed by what GK110 can do, the Titan is overpriced by most accounts. Two GeForce GTX 680s are faster, and for less money. Nevertheless, GeForce GTX Titan gets an honorable mention for the two applications where it really shines: small form factor and multi-card machines. ''

Does that mean that the Titan can be out runned by 680's or 690 ? or 7990/7970s ?

The Titan was never made for the GeForce side of things, it's more of a Work-Horse type GPU with 2,688 CUDA's, a 384 Bit Mem Bus and 6GB's of 6.2GHz GDDR5 RAM. Think of it as a cross of GeForece and Quadro. (According to Newegg TV)

A 680 SLI would beat it or a 690. a 7970 CF or 7990 might beat her, but then you have No Phsyx/Comput or CUDA options.

I'm running dual 480s, and even in Metro 2033 on max graphics with 4xMSAA, which is usually fairly stuttery, I don't really notice a stutter. SLI tends to stutter a lot less than Xfire, though. I'm not all that sensitive to low frame rates or stutter normally, though

The titan is less powerful than two 670s. Look up any benchmark which has 690 vs GTX titan; the 690 performs about at the level of two 670s. The main reasons people get a titan is either that they don't like SLI because of stutter, drivers etc, or want two Titans.

Lol, this is getting really annoying to consider that '' Sli is the best answer for the Cash principle '', yet that the Titan is damn good for a '' single card solution ''.
Why is it hard to decide for what to go to ?
I mean, the Titan is great as a single card, as many pointed that, truly.
Yet, as you said, Sli is the best to beat it down.
But for me im going for SFF that i adore to have ... but there is something really bothering me telling me '' Sli is something really sexy, but i read/saw alot of ppl suffering from it, why is it that bother but seductive ? ... Damn you Titan, are you that powerful or are you gonna fail me ? ''

lol, know what i'm saying ?

If you don't want to have an sli setup, just get a 690. screw titan. overpriced and underwhelming.

Are you even serious? Incase you were not aware, a 690 is not the same as SLI 680s. Its one card with two GPUs and two complete sets of memory. It is similar, but its not the same. I feel a bit ridiculous having to explain this to someone that acts as if they know what they are talking about.

There's a difference between 670 SLI and a 690, but it's not the drivers or microstutter. It's all of the problems of 670 SLI for a bit more money and less power consumption.

Now Now Guys ... no need to fight.
RX7-2nr Said something i want to understand very well from the ppl who actually used it: its the fact of :

Its the Difference between 2 way Sli 680 & the 690 !
Whats the differences, power, $$, FPS, what makes the core differences between these two ?
Plus whats the core difference between 670, 2 way 670, 680, 2 way 680, Titan & 690 ! thumb.gif
