Just read through the thread, I would say the memory controller or memory is failing, All instabilities I have experienced have been ram related, failed motherboard the first time, dodgy set of 2x4gb the next.

Would that explain random reboots? Even before the computer boots to the BIOS? I've tested each stick in every slot individually with no issues other than the restarts happening at random. So it wasn't specific to a certain stick, or to a certain slot.
