Well, if I were to get an "A", would I be able to hit 3.6 gigs? That is what I am aiming for when I get my new parts (ASUS P5N32-E, 2 gigs of corsair XMS2 6400-C and a Zalman 9700 heatsink/fan to keep it cool). Any advice would be great and sorry for all the questions!

Why are you getting that mobo?? If your not gonna be going SLI, get a Asus P5B-Deluxe, and if your gonna go SLI. get a nVidia 680i chipset board. like the eVGA one.

Well, I will eventually be doing SLI. I have heard good things about the ASUS mobo and I have had good success with them. Not to say that I don't like EVGA since I prefer their vid cards over anyone else. But, ASUS boards have been good to me. But, do you think it would be possible to hit 3.6 on an "A" processor?

I don't think on that board. like I said, if you are gonna be going SLI. get a new 680i board. It will OC like the P5B Deluxe and you have the SLI capabilites. Also Asus makes a 680i mobo. the Stiker extreme, its a bit of money but it seems to be worth it.

That board is a 680i SLI mobo. I have heard of people hitting 500 mhz on the FSB. with it. This is just like the Striker, only $100 cheaper (and I assume some less features????)

LOL. No worries, It's a Friday so I'm sure your brain is in a state of shutting down for the weekend =) I know mine is. Anyhoo, so now knowing that that board is a 680i board, do you think it is still possible to hit 3.6 gigs? You seem to know your stuff so I hope you don't mind me asking youall these questions. Thanks again!

You should be able to. What cooling are you using?

Well, for my CPU cooler, I am using the Zalman 9700. For my case setup, I have the CM Stacker 830 revision 2. I will have 3 in take fans on the side. 1 intake fan in the front. 1 exhaust fan in the back. 1 exhaust fan on the top and another exhaust fan used by the powersupply (all of these fans are 120mm)

By the way, that Zalman 9700 is freaking huge! The pictures definitely don't give a realistic view of how big it really is. I was shocked LOL
