AMD has much better open cl performence, open cl also gives boost in many apps, amd has tress fx,great direct compute performence, great drivers in recent times, great scaling in multi gpu (nvidia has that too),most game developers are now leaning towards havok, bullet, direct compute physics, nvidia's physx is a very old tech, game developers like ubisoft said they ain't anymore going to support nvidia physx, many games like crysis series series has their own in game physics engine,so put physx a side.
AMD HD7xxx is a better choice over nvidia gtx6xx (this is the real fact,I love both amd and nvidia but I said the real fact not as a nvidia fanboy as because I own a nvidia gpu).
