If the PowerColor unit has not been pulled apart and reviewed somewhere online, IMO its better to be safe than sorry when it comes to protecting your mobo and GPU and look into a known good PSU.

I tried looking it up i found nothing

A crappy quality PSU can effect the lifetime of your hardware and if its really bad and you load it above lest say 80% it could die or blow up and take other parts with it

Many do not know this but the PSU is the single most important part of your system and anyone who cheap out on a PSU is doing themselfs a bear favor

Brands like Diablotek and Raidmax are the worst carp but almost every brand has one more more crappy PSU models like the old non P Thermaltake TR-2 series

And then there is other things to consider like PSU efficiency
Anyone who want to build a PC sould know at least just a little about PSU´s before they start

Reviews say that this PSU is a quite solid one, although its produced by Solytech which is part of Deer who doesn't have a good reputation. I would say the OP should first upgrade the CPU and if (s)he has money, (s)he should get a new PSU.

I never said it was a bad PSU just puzzled that i could not find any info about it

Anyway if they say its alright then just keep it at least its not a deathtrap like a old TT TR-2

PowerColor is not a bad company you shouldnt assume their products are bad ... so far the only brands that have not failed me : PowerColor & Gigabyte. never had to rma anything!

also 8350 is not a bad choice i have the 8320 and its a great cpu best bang for buck ... also instead of a 670 i would reccomend a 7950/7970

They have had a history of bad products but they are a lot better now. Their current gen graphics cards are very good. As a company they have always had second to none customer service, as people say, they are like the EVGA for the AMD side.

Brand and company names have nothing to do with quality every brand and companies has good and bad products so its always a good idea to check what you buy before you do it no matter what it is

Yeah i could only find a 600

I actually bought the last one. When it came, the wires were ripped out of their socket connectors (great start) but I didn't have time or a backup psu to replace it, and they had no more! I hear no buzzing, but I am planning on getting an 800watt with 70% rating at least. The 8350 sucks a lot of power when OC.

Thanks, yeah this is what I was thinking. The 570 still chugs along valiantly with no real issues, and I'm not going into multi-GPU setups. Too many headaches, and uses too much power. Although its a nice bragging peice haha, saying you got 670's in sli. Nonetheless, I can afford even another year with my 570...but if crysis 3 is anything to represent how games chew up CPU from now on, my little silicone from '09 needs an upgrade. I figure, get the long term components out of the way, that 8350 is gonna last me a LONG time. 8 cores? 4+ ghz? I might never need an upgrade ;D
