Option 1:Get an SS and run your cpu @ 4.7(requires better mobo + insulation + Single Stage phase cooler ($700 or so)
Option 2: Some form of 1155 build ($450)
Then there's the graphics..I'd suggest waiting on new AMD release..t hen wait a month..maybe cop an EOL 7950 or 7970.
Unless you want a Titan or 660-680.
There's pros and cons to either option.
With an SS you can overclock more on anything
I think a 2500K overclocked would do best on air/water.psst..there's been some really good ones lately
660 in SLI beats Titan
7950 X-fire ..hmm..tbh..I hate multi-gpu..headaches.
I'm sorry, what is an SS? Never heard of that abbreviation before. And, I would like to stay at AMD for my CPU, cheaper, (yes, you pay more for Intel because it is loads more efficient and their chips have a better ipc, but, for me, it will not show much difference) and will be perfect for me. 8 cores at 5ghz sounds awesome ;D. Second, I have had ATI Gpus in the past, my last one being a 5770 (then switched to Nvidia with my 570), and I loathed the amount of options AMD cards DID NOT HAVE! As far as driver glitches go, i haven't had issues, I just love the Nvidia Control Center, and don't mind paying a tad more for it.
I don't plan on using a Multi-GPU setup, and will most likely be getting a 670 once the 700 series comes out, for the price drop. And, before Vishera came out, I was 95% sure I was going to buy a 2500k or 3570k and overclock it, but...I could use the cores, and again, I would prefer AMD
