Is there a difference between the Gigabyte 990FX-UD5 and UD7 in terms of overclocking?

I need a new board as my Sapphire 990FX died on me and the store can't send me a new one. frown.gif I've been looking at the UD5 and UD7 as a replacement since they seem like the only boards except the Extreme 9 to have 8 SATA ports. Is there a difference in terms of overclocking with them, or are they exactly the same except for the extra crossfire/SLI lane?

They are all good boards, overclocking wise it will be minimal at best, so if you want to save money go for the UD5, if you want all the bells and whistles you know where to spend your money wink.gif

Thanks, I got the UD5. Are there any problems using it with Vishera if it has an older bios version installed?

NP!

I would believe if you buy one now that it will come with a bios that supports it!
It will probably work even with an old bios, but there are of course some rare cases where it may not work.
