No it's a power saving thing when It goes to 1.1. Press the little ? Next to it and run it full screen. Post results.

I am going to go with the auto overclock not being stable roll back the of and then try again. On the 690 did you have sli enabled and in the driver settings have "prefer maximum performance" under power saving features.
Small wonder.

Pull out your GPU and place it in another slot just for randomness sake tongue.gif. install the second-newest drivers and see how that goes. My instructions are a bit random but it worked for me back in the day with my 580..... and I did all of these things.

^ This right here is sound advice.

Please OP, work on troubleshooting the basics first.
Also download HD Tune and check your Hard Drive's SMART.

PS: Stop using AVG and install MSE (or don't use an antivirus at all until you get your system stable)

mine does that too it doesnt seem to effect anything long as its running x16 is the big thing but you know I just realized that card only has 2gigs of memory could that be an issue im not sure how graphics memory intensive all these things are I know my 7970s both have 3 gigs.

A 2 gig memory size GPU is fine, that's not the problem... I was running most of those games on single monitor with 1.5 without any dilemma's.
OP you have to SYSTEMATICALLY eliminate possibilities. We have to narrow it down to software or hardware, otherwise we will be going all over the place. Since I don't believe its hardware (whats the chance of both the 690 and 680 being faulty lol) we stick with software
After you re-installed the drivers I'm guessing it did not improve. Its more than likely that the drivers are not the problem. Do you have time to instal a fresh OS?
I suggest you move the GPU to another slot on your MOBO and then instal OS and drivers again. Try doing this with maybe only two sticks of ram (shouldn't matter but just try).

Good idea! Since you will be checking most of the software this is good to look at too.... If you're going to format than check the hard drive before-hand.

1200W Thermaltake maybe.....
So its not the drivers and HDD's so far. you say the OS if fairly fresh ok.
next step:

Run Memtest and check your RAM sticks one-by-one.
If they are all functional download afterburner and run it. While its running go ahead and play one of your games... then quit and check your GPU usage. It should be quite high..
Let us know your max GPU usage and we go from there.
This is quite the mystery. I had a problem like this but a fresh OS and moving the GPU to another slot fixed it for me lol
