Haf x led switch for cathodes?

Hey everybody,

I have a CM Haf X and i am trying to find a way to connect a couple of sharkoon cold cathodes to the case led switch. i've looked in the forums from others that tried the same but didn't get any answers. is this possible to be done, or is it too much voltage for that switch? as i understand in this beautifully made picture, on the cathodes the molex sends the yellow 12v to the switch which lets the 5v with the red wire to the inverter, and the molex sends the ground directly to the inverter. But the case switch has only a red and black wire. does the case switch have the ability to act as the cold cathode switch?

It's actually preferable to switch the black wire in this case, but doesn't matter all that much. The switch should be capable of switching the power for a cold cathode light. prior to the inverter. You may have to splice cabling to get it working, and I wouldn't recommend adding anything more than the CC to the circuit going through the switch.

I don't have experience with the HAF X, but I would assume this is a typical clicky push-on, push-off type switch. Verify with a multimeter or attach a battery and LED to verify operation.
